National Gospel recording artist Earnest Pugh has officially taken home his first Stellar Gospel Music Award, winning Traditional Male Artist of the Year for his powerful album WORTHY IS THE LAMB (Blacksmoke Music Worldwide). The award was presented during the Stellar Awards’ official pre-show and gala on Friday, August 15th, at the National Museum of African American Music in Nashville, TN.
This recognition marked a milestone moment in Pugh’s celebrated career. He also garnered two 2025 Stellar nominations: Traditional Male Artist of the Year and Traditional Artist of the Year, bringing his total Stellar nods to ten. His win followed a back-to-back live pre-show performance of his brand-new single, “Your Glory 2 C U,” in front of a star-studded audience.
“It’s an honor to be celebrated by peers and industry leaders, but for me it’s an opportunity to celebrate the team who works tirelessly for me all year,” Pugh shared.
The 40th Annual Stellar Awards, widely known as Gospel music’s greatest night, was taped live at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on Saturday, August 16th. Fans can catch the broadcast on BET, Sunday, August 31st at 7 P.M. CT, and on Bounce TV, September 28th at 1 P.M. CT.
