Atlanta, GA – Faith Evans, Dionne Farris, and choreographer Jamaica Craft were honored in Atlanta
during an industry celebration of moms in music held on Friday May 19, 2023. In attendance at the
intimate event were R&B group Brownstone, Tameka Foster Raymond, Towanda Braxton, executives
from the Recording Academy, BMI, and ASCAP, and a bevy of rap moms including the mothers of
Future, Lil Durk, K-Camp, Lil Yachty and Zaytoven.
The brunch event was orchestrated by multi-platinum Grammy award winning songwriter and
music executive Tami LaTrell owner of The Mezzo Agency and top entertainment attorney Shay M
Lawson of the Law Firm of Lawson McKinley to give just honor to the multifaceted strength of
mothers in the male dominated music industry.

4 in an industry that didn’t see motherhood the way I did. But as mothers in music we are breaking new
ground daily, by going beyond the lights and cameras speaking up when things need to be said. We are

work in tandem we can alter the trajectory of any space we occupy.” said Honoree Faith Evans a multi-platinum, Grammy Award winning songwriter, artist, and autism champion.

continuing to show up in spite of obstacles and setbacks, we are grateful to celebrate true queens in
